Apart from my full-time role at Wikimedia Germany, I am passionate about building up the Wiki community, Open Government projects and promoting the linked open data web across the world. The Wikidata Pink Pony Session aligns with the event themes of Diversity, Collaboration, and Future.
Diversity: By inviting Wikidata contributors from all backgrounds and skill levels to share their wishes and feature requests for Wikidata, we ensure that the platform caters to diverse user needs. Additionally, as Wikidata becomes increasingly used in many different languages, it is important to continuously integrate diverse perspectives and ensure that the platform remains accessible to all.
Collaboration: The session provides a unique opportunity for collaboration between Wikidata contributors and the development team. Participants can share their feedback, ideas, and tools with the team, and the team can provide updates and respond to community concerns. This collaborative environment fosters a sense of community and encourages open communication, which is essential for the long-term success and growth of Wikidata.
Future: Wikidata is a rapidly evolving platform. By soliciting feedback and feature requests from users, the Wikidata Pink Pony Session ensures that the platform continues to evolve in a direction that is relevant to the needs of its users.
