NamuWiki is the very popular site by Korean speakers. While NamuWiki has the commonality of being a wiki that anyone can contribute to, it is not a site that adds to the free knowledge movement. This session will go deep dive through Namuwiki's nature and difference between wikimedia movement.
Description

It is closed, as you are giving ownership of your contributions to the undisclosed private company, and there may be unverified or biased content. We will go through how namuwiki attracts the Korean netizens and how different than Wikimedia and free knwoledge movement
- How does your session relate to the event theme, Collaboration of the Open?
Similar with Wikimedia movement that creating knowledge base with everyone, but it is private and not a part of the open knowledge movement. I will briefly talk about the impact of this site on open knowledge.
