Description

[edit | edit source]

In these years, in Apulia we've been organising Wiki Loves Monuments (with great results!), editathons, events, even cooperating with other organisations, conferences, educational projects. I'd like to show how we worked in an area where there was no sign of life from a Wiki-offline point-of-view to develop a community. Of course, more can and will be done to increase the number of volunteers.

How does your session relate to the event theme, Collaboration of the Open?

Cooperation is essential for carrying out any kind of offline and online wiki activity, so the poster will show how the Apulian working group worked together and even cooperated with other organisations to carry out the activities.

What is the experience level needed for the audience for your session?

Everyone can participate in this session

I'm from Bari, Apulia and I'm the vicepresident of Wikimedia Italy. I've been on Wikipedia and Wikimedia projects since 2012 and I've been organising events and editathon, projects with schools and universities, Wiki Loves Monuments and even itWikiCon in my region.
