Wikimania Nairobi will have two Lightning Talks Showcase sessions to highlight some of the most compelling concepts and powerful thinking developing across the Wikimedia Movement. - Martin Urbanec
- Martin Urbanec currently serves as a vice chair of the board of Wikimedia Czech Republic, where he is responsible for technical matters, education programs and finances. Within this role Martin overseas the development of Wikinside, a metrics tool developed by the chapter. He is also an active wikimedian, currently serving as a Wikimedia Steward. In addition to his volunteer activities, Martin works as a Senior Software Engineer for the Wikimedia Foundation.

- I’m a Ghanaian female editor with over 9 years experience on diverse Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia, WikiData, Wikicommons and translate wiki platforms amongst others. I have a wealth of experience per my previous role with AFFCOM and Regional Grants Committee. Over the past 5 years, I have been a Co- Lead and Project Manager for Wiki Hour Initiative where our passion is to drive connections between people with disabilities, specifically hearing impaired, empower young girls, and address sustainable topics on Wikimedia eco spaces.

- Christopher Liberty
- Christopher Liberty is a Climate Change Education enthusiast and a Wikimedian in the Wikimedia Community User Group Uganda. He holds a MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Master of Project Planning and Management from Kabale University and Bachelor of Education from Makerere University. He has a strong belief that climate change literacy, more so through open and contextualized knowledge is a fantastic tool against Climate Change effects. Through his work, he is dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship.
- Even though I created the account on 8th December 2013, I began participating actively in 2019. I have led trainings, participated in several Wikimedia projects including Wikipedia, and Commons, contributing to Wiki for Human Rights, Wiki loves Folklore, Wiki loves Africa, Wiki Soccerthon, and Wiki Gap.

- Ibekeme Merit is a librarian, educator, and open knowledge advocate passionate about promoting literacy, information access, and digital inclusion. I studied Library and Information Science and as an educator, posseses a post graduate diploma in Education. I am dedicated to bridging knowledge gaps, enhancing access to quality information, and empowering professionals to contribute to open knowledge platforms. I am also a champion for African storybooks and promoted the use of culturally relevant reading materials to improve literacy among children. I have reached over 4,000 children through reading sessions in schools, orphanages, and rural areas, advocating for the inclusion of African narratives in global digital libraries.
- I have led Wikimedia training programs in Gombe state, Nigeria which include “Wikimedia awareness and training in Federal College of Education(T), Gombe and “upskilling librarians in Gombe on open knowledge practices through wikimedia project”
- As a Wikimedia organizer and facilitator, I have been involved in various in library programs and has participated in different AfLIA training aimed at equipping librarians on wikimedia projects. I am also the program manager of Wikimedia Gombe Network where I contribute my quote in running the network.
- Lindani Sikhakhane
- Lindani Sikhakhane is a dynamic and forward-thinking librarian based at Randburg Library,
- celebrated for his passion for innovation, pioneering ideas, and creative solutions within the realm of city libraries. In recognition of his groundbreaking work, Lindani was awarded the City of Johannesburg Employee Innovation Award (2023) and received further accolades in the “Innovation in Operation” category for leading the development and implementation of an intelligent resource management app within the City’s municipal departments.
- Lindani has built a diverse professional background in the Library and Information Services sector. He previously served as a Trainee Librarian at the National Library of South Africa (NLSA) and as a Research Librarian at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC). Originally from
- Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal, he holds an Honours degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Zululand and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the same field.

- I've been a Wikipedia volunteer since 2012. In my volunteer capacity, I'm an administrator & bureaucrat on Ukrainian Wikipedia, typically devoting my time to admin and patrolling maintenance tasks, as well as to writing occasional articles on American politics and whatever fascinates me at the moment.
- I'm also Programs Coordinator at Wikimedia Ukraine. In this role, I lead a team of five staff members / contractors and oversee the organization’s programmatic work, such as content campaigns, diversity and editor recruitment initiatives, community events, and communications outreach.

- Stella Sessy Agbley is a dedicated advocate for digital inclusion, community engagement, and knowledge equity within the Wikimedia movement. With over a decade of experience, I am the co-lead of the Wiki Hour Initiative, a coordinator for Feminism and Folklore, and a community board member for the Wikimedia Ghana User Group. For three years, I was the coordinator for the Wiki Women’s User Group. My work focuses on equipping girls, women, and the hearing-impaired community with digital skills to confidently engage with Wikipedia and its sister projects. Through capacity building, mentorship, and outreach, I promote cultural representation, gender equity, and inclusive participation in open knowledge.

- Hi, I’m Kanya (User:Kanzcech), a Wikimedian from Indonesia, actively contributing to Indonesian Wikipedia and other sister projects. I am a member of Wikimedia Indonesia since 2023 and serve on the board of trustees of Wikimedia Indonesia (WMID) since early 2025. I also serve on board of advisors of KlubWiki Universitas Brawijaya since 2024. In 2024 I received a Rapid Fund grant to manage WikiDiplomasi, a project aimed to improve diplomacy and International Relations contents on Indonesian Wikipedia.

- As a former librarian with a background in crowdsourced information platforms, I'm passionate about expanding access to knowledge and empowering people to take part in shaping it.

- I became a Wikipedia editor in June 2019. Since then, I’ve been contributing to the Spanish and Asturian Wikipedias, as well as Wikidata, with a strong focus on bridging the gender gap. I’m also a mentor and tutor on Spanish Wikipedia (eswiki), helping newcomers become confident contributors.
- As an organizer and core team member of Wikiesfera, I coordinate edit-a-thons and training sessions aimed at enhancing representation and participation. I’ve led various activities and taken part in several community events. Since the end of 2021, I’ve also been collaborating as a Product Ambassador for the Wikimedia Foundation, supporting Spanish-speaking communities and working with development teams to promote tools and strategies that make Wikipedia more inclusive, diverse, and user-friendly.
