2026:Call for Volunteers
Liberté, Équité, Fiabilité
Become a Volunteer for Wikimania 2026 in Paris!
With Wikimania 2026 in Paris just around the corner, we warmly invite registered attendees to get involved as volunteers and support the organization of the event. A few roles are also open to non-registered volunteers (managed on a case-by-case basis).
Welcoming attendees, providing guidance, supporting logistics, assisting during activities... every contribution helps make this edition an inclusive and unforgettable experience. If you would like to be part of the Wikimania team, we would be delighted to have your support!
⚠️ Please note: These roles are not open to scholarship recipients, for whom other volunteering opportunities are planned and organized separately. If you are a scholarship holder, please do not apply for these missions.
Step-by-Step Support: Training and Guidance
To ensure you feel comfortable and confident, you will never be left to fend for yourself. Our team has put together a comprehensive support system:
- Training to Guide You: You will benefit from a general training session (with a choice of two online sessions on July 10th and 15th at 8:00 PM) to discover the inner workings of the event, team operations, practical information, and guidelines common to all missions.
- Specific Training: These will be organized for certain missions to familiarize you with the tools, procedures, and instructions specific to your role. Theme coordinators or the general volunteer coordination team (Sandra, Luc) will contact the relevant individuals directly to organize these sessions and share all useful information.
- Coordinators by Your Side: On-site, you will be guided by theme coordinators. As true pillars of the conference (a classic setup at Wikimania conferences), they will be there to answer your questions, pass on important information, and help handle any unexpected situations. They will also ensure that everyone knows what to do and has everything they need to carry out their mission.
How to Apply?
Check our list of missions below and fill out our application form to join the adventure.
- Application Deadline: Friday, July 3rd, 2026
