हमारे चारों ओर परिवर्तनशील विश्व के साथ, आयोजन सुरक्षा और संरक्षा के प्रति हमारा दृष्टिकोण भी विकसित होना चाहिए। हम विकिमेनिया को सम्पर्क, सहयोग और साझा अधिगम हेतु एक सुरक्षित स्थान के रूप में संरक्षित करने का सर्वस्व प्रयास करना चाहते हैं, और इसी उद्देश्य से हमने अपनी आयोजन पंजीकरण प्रक्रिया को परिष्कृत किया है। ये अद्यतन, जोखिम न्यून करने, सहभागियों की अधिक दृश्यता प्रदान करने तथा सुरक्षा और संरक्षा की सर्वोत्तम पद्धतियों से बेहतर संरेखण हेतु अभिकल्पित व्यापक संवर्धित सुरक्षा उपायों का अंग हैं। सम्मिलित रूप से, ये उपाय आयोजकों की उत्पन्न होने वाले मुद्दों के न्यूनीकरण और उन पर प्रत्युत्तर देने की क्षमता में सुधार करते हैं।

समस्त विकिमीडिया आन्दोलन आयोजनों में, जिनमें विकिमेनिया पेरिस भी सम्मिलित है, सशरीर उपस्थिति हेतु पंजीकरण 'आमंत्रण हेतु अनुरोध' द्वारा होगा। आभासी आयोजन का पंजीकरण अपरिवर्तित रहेगा। नवीन समय-सारिणी और प्रक्रिया का विवरण नीचे दिया गया है। नई प्रक्रिया से परिचित होने तथा इसके कार्यान्वयन के समय आपके धैर्य के लिए हम आपका अग्रिम धन्यवाद करते हैं।

आमंत्रण हेतु अनुरोध प्रक्रिया

सिंहावलोकन : पेरिस में विकिमेनिया में सशरीर सम्मिलित होने हेतु पंजीकरण कराने वाले सभी प्रतिभागी 'आमंत्रण हेतु अनुरोध' के माध्यम से पंजीकरण करेंगे, जिससे उनकी उपस्थिति की पुष्टि से पूर्व गहन विश्वास और सुरक्षा समीक्षा की जा सके। यह गहराई और क्रम दोनों दृष्टियों से परिवर्तन को दर्शाता है — पिछले वर्षों में सहभागी अपना पंजीकरण पूर्ण करते थे और तत्पश्चात् जाँच से गुज़रते थे। यह आमंत्रण हेतु अनुरोध प्रक्रिया अब अन्य विकिमीडिया आयोजनों में सफलतापूर्वक प्रायोगिक रूप से अपनाई जा चुकी है।

कृपया ध्यान दें : यह प्रक्रिया विकिमीडिया संस्थान के छात्रवृत्ति प्राप्त सहभागियों पर लागू नहीं होती, जो पहले ही विश्वास और सुरक्षा समीक्षा से गुज़र चुके हैं, अथवा उन पर जो विकिमेनिया में आभासी रूप से सम्मिलित होना चाहते हैं। वे सहभागी एक चरण में सीधे पंजीकरण कर सकेंगे। आभासी रूप से विकिमेनिया में सम्मिलित होने हेतु पंजीकरण आयोजन के २४ घण्टे पूर्व तक खुला रहेगा।

• पंजीकरण पिछले वर्षों की तुलना में काफ़ी पूर्व आरम्भ होगा। इससे अधिक गहन विश्वास और सुरक्षा समीक्षा संभव होगी, साथ ही स्वीकृत सहभागी यात्रा प्रबन्ध करने हेतु समय रहते अपना पंजीकरण सुनिश्चित कर सकेंगे।
• प्रत्यक्ष पंजीकरण करने के स्थान पर, सहभागी आमंत्रण हेतु अनुरोध प्रस्तुत करके पंजीकरण आरम्भ करेंगे। अनुरोधों की समीक्षा क्रमानुसार की जाएगी। प्रत्येक अनुरोधकर्ता को चौदह (१४) दिवसों के भीतर ईमेल द्वारा उत्तर प्राप्त होगा।
• पंजीकरण मार्च के अन्त से १ मई तक अथवा स्थान उपलब्ध रहने तक खुला रहेगा।
  • हमें इस वर्ष पुनः पूर्णतः आरक्षित होने की अपेक्षा है, अतः अपना आमंत्रण अनुरोध शीघ्र प्रस्तुत करें!
• विश्वास और सुरक्षा से सम्बन्धित विचारार्थ अनुरोधों की समीक्षा प्रथम-प्रस्तुत, प्रथम-समीक्षित आधार पर की जाएगी। अनुरोधों की समीक्षा विकिमीडिया संस्थान के सम्बद्ध दलों द्वारा विकिमेनिया मूल आयोजन दल के साथ मिलकर की जाएगी।
• एक बार स्वीकृत होने पर, सहभागियों को अपनी उपस्थिति की पुष्टि हेतु पंजीकरण शुल्क भुगतान करने के लिए एक कड़ी सहित ईमेल सूचना प्राप्त होगी।
  • सहभागियों को ईमेल प्राप्त होने के सात दिवसों के भीतर कड़ी पर क्लिक कर अपनी भुगतान सूचना प्रस्तुत करनी होगी, अन्यथा उनका स्थान रद्द कर प्रतीक्षा-सूची में सम्मिलित किसी अन्य को दे दिया जाएगा।
• पंजीकरण शुल्क १०० अमरीकी डॉलर है और यह विकिमीडिया संस्थान द्वारा अत्यधिक सहायता प्राप्त है। इसमें उद्घाटन एवं समापन आयोजन, उपहार सामग्री, तथा सम्मेलन के समय भोजन एवं पेय पदार्थ सम्मिलित हैं।
• प्रस्तुत किए जा सकने वाले आमंत्रण अनुरोधों की संख्या आयोजन स्थल की क्षमता के आधार पर निर्धारित होगी। उस संख्या तक पहुँचने पर, इच्छुक सहभागी प्रतीक्षा-सूची में अपना नाम सम्मिलित कर सकेंगे। इससे कुल सहभागी संख्या आयोजन स्थल प्रबन्धन एवं उनकी सुरक्षा/निष्कासन निर्देशिकाओं के अनुरूप सुनिश्चित होगी।
• अधिकतम संख्या तक पहुँचने पर, पंजीकरण पूर्णतः आरक्षित हो जाएगा और कोई अतिरिक्त आमंत्रण अनुरोध प्रस्तुत नहीं किया जा सकेगा। आयोजन के पूर्णतः आरक्षित होने की संभावना है, अतः यदि आप सम्मिलित होने की योजना बना रहे हैं, तो कृपया अपना आमंत्रण अनुरोध शीघ्र भेजें!
• हम अनुरोध करते हैं कि जब तक आपको पुष्टिकरण ईमेल प्राप्त न हो, तब तक कोई अप्रतिदेय यात्रा अथवा होटल आवास आरक्षित न करें। आरक्षण हेतु सुझावों के लिए यात्रा पृष्ठ देखें।

Reviews are limited to trust and safety considerations for each requesting attendee. Users that are globally banned will not be permitted to attend Wikimania. Other factors related to safety will also be considered such as previous violations of the Friendly Space Policy. Reviews will be conducted on a first-submitted, first-reviewed basis.

The registration fee for Wikimania is $100 USD. It covers food at the opening and closing of the event, lunches throughout the event, snacks, goodie bags, and other costs, and is heavily subsidized by the Wikimedia Foundation. We ask attendees to pay the registration fee as an indication that they are serious about attending the event. If your plans change or you are unable to attend, we ask that you do not complete registration so that another community member can register.

As part of the scholarship review process, all scholars have had trust and safety vetting and thus do not need to go through a second one. You will receive a registration code that will allow you to complete registration in one step and free of charge.

The number of requests for invitation that are able to be submitted will be limited in accordance with event capacity. The ability to request an invitation will close once we have hit that number, and other prospective attendees will be able to put their name on the waitlist. We advise you to request your invitation early!

If your request is not confirmed, you will be advised via email within fourteen (14) days of submitting your request. However, as Wikimania is a fully hybrid event and we encourage you to register to attend the virtual event and join others online.

No, you will not be able to walk-in or swap places with someone else. Only those with a confirmed invite/ticket will be allowed entry. If you believe you have an exceptional circumstance, please email us at wikimaniawikimedia.org. We will not respond to requests made on Telegram or other social media channels.

Attendees joining virtually will be able to register in one step and can register up to 24 hours before Wikimania begins.

To ensure we can uphold our commitment to youth safety at Wikimania, anyone under the age of 18 will not be allowed at the in-person event unless supervised at all times by a parent/legal guardian. The parent/legal guardian must register as a Wikimania attendee and email the event organizers at wikimaniawikimedia.org for additional instructions on how to add a minor to their booking.

Youth under 18 will not be permitted at the opening party or closing party, and parents/legal guardians should consider the family friendliness of the sessions they choose to attend, including the opening and closing ceremonies which often have lights and loud music.

There will also be accessible bathrooms for diaper changing.

Prospective in-person attendees can visit the registration page and add themselves to the waitlist by entering an email address.

• Step 1 : If a slot frees up, the person next on the waiting list will receive an email with a link to request an invite. This link will work for 48 hours, so if you are on the waiting list, please check all folders in your email daily for a message from info@eventyay.com. If you do not complete the request for invitation within 48 hours, the system will automatically offer the place to someone else.

• Step 2 : Your request for invitation will then be processed by our trust and safety team. You can expect a response via email within 14 days.

• Step 3: If the request is approved, you will receive an email with a link to complete registration. Payment must be initiated within 7 days in order to secure your ticket. If you do not initiate payment within 7 days, the system will automatically offer that place to someone else.

Those on the waitlist are encouraged to check their email daily, including spam and other folders, for a message from infoeventyay.com.

Yes. We are working closely with the venue to expand the capacity of the event by 200-300 people. This entails booking extra space for the opening ceremony, as well as additional breakout space. The trade-off is that the amphitheater will not be able to accommodate all Wikimania attendees during the opening ceremony. We thank you in advance for your cooperation as we balance attendance between the main amphitheater and the extra space which we will be setting up as a fun lounge with snacks.

As of 10 July, approximately 350 people have come off the waitlist as the team removes duplicate registrations, processes cancellations, and releases additional tickets in accordance with the expanded event capacity.

Speakers of accepted sessions who did not get to register for the event in time have now been able to register for the event. We have now released the tickets not needed by speakers to the waitlist. The waitlist will now continue to churn, at a slower rate, as people cancel and as we refine final numbers.
