I'd like to attend Learning Days. I've already missed the early bird pre-conference registration because one supposed to get approved first. Although it's still not clear where to apply. Two pages about the same event with different contents and important dates?
How come that there are two pages about the Learning days with different contents and different important dates?
It is this page:
and then there is another page:
---> Are this the same, and if they are the same, what are the real important dates, because the dates given are different.
In this page it says:
- "July 31: Registration closes and Community Development team gets final registration list of participants interested in attending Learning Days."
In the other bage it says:
- "July 23 - Participants will be notified of acceptance to Learning Days "
Probably the latter is true because in the registration form the learning days are already closed in accordance to information given in the other page. But nowhere (or at least not in these two pages) I coluld find the information where I should have announced in the first place if I had been interested of the learning days (if it was not among those things that were to be done before june the 9th, maybe it was there somewhere).--Urjanhai (talk) 10:10, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
- These 2 pages should be merged to 1 page. Maybe this one should be an informal page about the learning days, and the 2019: should say about the registration dates etc. related only to this year's conference. Really unfortunate mess about a important topic. Stryn (talk) 15:26, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
- Actually the important dates seem not to have been told anywhere in this wiki but - surprisingly and without any notice - inside the eventbrite registration form only. Of course it it is well possible and totally acceptable that the information is there only, but then that fact should of course have been told beforehand in the program and registration pages of this wiki.--Urjanhai (talk) 20:55, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
- Also the program of the hackathon looked like this until july the 25th: (i. e. old pages from april the 9th). Only when someone, who recommended the hackaton for me that day gave me a link for the updated program elswhere, did I find out more and made notice of the actual page there. By the arrangers it was updated only july the 30th. - While, of course, those who are planning to participate, need all possible information about the program before the registration closes and not only afterwards to be able to decide what events and activities they should choose or apply for and what are the deadlines etc.--Urjanhai (talk) 21:08, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
