I am Dr. Ngozi Eunice Osadebe, a Deputy University Librarian at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). I am a certified member of the Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN). I am married with children. I won the Prof. M.I Ajibero Award for the best Ph.D. thesis from Nigerian Library Schools in 2016 and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka excellent performance award in 2017. I am the South East Geopolitical zone representative of the AuthorAid National Research Hub, Nigeria, and a fellow of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Martha Farrell Foundation. I believe in the capability of libraries to transform communities. Based on this belief, I organize library programs that can empower individuals with the skill to end poverty, fight hunger, deepen knowledge, attain good health, reduce inequalities, and mitigate climate change. I am a volunteer and secretary, at the Children’s Centre Library, UNN, from 2002 -2016, and the Chairman from 2017-2022. I have published 4 book chapters and 52 journal articles. I am a founding member and Coordinator of Surplus People in the Universities Research Group (SPURG), University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and the Director of Literacy for Sustainable Living Nigeria, (an NGO whose aim is to equip individuals with the skill to make informed decisions). I organize the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, UNN, and Surplus People in the Universities Research Group (SPURG), Art and Feminism English Wikipedia edit-a-thon. I joined the Wikimedia movement in 2017 and have been organizing Wikimedia events since then. I have participated in the Wikimania conference twice. Some new participants in the Wikimedia movement from my group were awarded Wikimania 2022 grants to attend the conference online. It is my dream to see a world in which librarians are active, transforming societies through information provision.
