Nada Alfarra (User:Nada kareem22)
I am a junior doctor. I have managed to finish my degree requirements while volunteering to enrich the digital content for children with the Dadd Initiative in Germany. In the last 7 months, I have dedicated my efforts as a member of the Leadership Development Working Group (LDWG), which focuses on defining leadership in the Wikimedia context, building a leadership development plan, and implementing that plan. June - July 2022, I have also managed to participate in a pilot renowned project to celebrate Arabic Wikipedia Day by facilitating sessions to teach editing basics to newcomers. Being part of the broader movement is a consequence of my work as a Wikipedia editor. I have conducted and co-organized numerous workshops to bridge the gender gap, document the writings of authors, update guidelines, and add missing images to Wikipedia. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Nada_Alfarra.jpg [Jan bio ] I am fairly new to the movement and joining the Leadership Development Working Group is my first major contribution outside of editing. I have been organising and facilitating trainings for a couple of German as well as international student organisations, which is how I got in touch with the idea of leadership development. Outside of the movement I am studying Biochemistry and recently launched a blog, definedtaste.com, where I write about my obsession with food science and trivia that Wikipedia is not the right place for.
