Muhammed amine benloulou
Mohammed Amine Ben Loulou is a member of Wikimedia Algeria and has been involved in various projects related to music and knowledge sharing. He has a strong passion for music, which is reflected in his academic background; he completed a master’s thesis on American cultural diplomacy using hip-hop music as a model. In 2019, he joined the Wikimedia community and led the programming team for Wikiarabia Algeria 2021. As part of his involvement with Wikimedia, he also joined the Sound Logo team of community liaisons for models in east and north Africa. He is currently the coordinator for the Wiki for Human Rights 2023: Right to a Healthy Environment Campaign in the Maghreb region and an artist manager for the Wiki Ghonya project. Through his experiences and involvement with the Wikimedia community, Mohammed Amine Ben Loulou has recognized the potential of music in promoting the concept of free knowledge and enhancing the impact of open knowledge projects. His involvement in Wiki Ghonya and directing his first documentary film, “The Black Panther of Algeria,” demonstrates his commitment to using music and other forms of art to inspire and engage audiences. In this session, he will share his experiences and insights on how music can be used to support and enhance open knowledge projects, with a focus on the “We Sing for Human Knowledge” project.
