From Wikimania

My name is Bob Anikwe, formally identified as Ogbuagu Robert Anikwe. I am a Nigerian editor, author, and communication specialist with a notable career in media, government service, and public relations. I ghostwrite speeches and biographies and structurally edit manuscripts for individuals and organizations.

MEDIA

As a journalist and editor, I have held influential roles in Nigerian newspapers including editor at The Guardian, editor of Daily Times, and editor-in-chief and CEO of the defunct Post Express newspapers. I also held editorial consulting positions in the State House Abuja and the Nigerian Police. My extensive background in media and journalism places me in a vantage position to advise on media management, distribution, and production.

PUBLIC SERVICE

Outside my journalism career, I also served in public roles, including as the Commissioner for Information in Enugu, Nigeria. In this position, I oversaw government communications and public information dissemination. Before this role, and with a commission from the World Bank, I served as an in-house consultant to create the Corporate Communication Unit of FIRS, the federal tax agency, in 2004. I later served as head of the unit. My work focused on enhancing the agency’s public image, taxpayer engagement, and transparency and contributed to improving interaction with the public and supporting tax administration and compliance efforts.

EDUCATION

My formal education began with a higher diploma training in mass communication at the Institute of Management and Technology, and was followed by master's degree programs in public policy analysis (University of Lagos), and media management (Pan-Atlantic University). My full biography is listed in Blerf's Nigeria Who is Who.
