| 5 | Abstract | Public policy, as "politics as a vocation", takes both passion and perspective. Wikimedia movement entities in the East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific (ESEAP) region have different experiences and institutional capacity to navigate the changing waters of advocating for public policies that are aligned with the mission and interests of the Wikimedia movement. The diverse legal, social, and political landscape of the region proved to be a unique challenge and opportunity at the same time. Join us to hear the perspectives and experiences of the Wikimedia movement leaders in the ESEAP and explore a common framework for a future local advocacy capacity. | |
