Technical Writer, Developer Advocacy, Wikimedia Foundation
I began working for the Wikimedia Foundation in October 2021. I have a BA in Arts & Ideas in the Humanities, focusing on ancient Greek pottery, studio art, and French language. I also have a Masters in Library & Information Science (MLIS), focused on classification systems and controlled vocabularies. My participation in the Movement as a volunteer happens under my personal account: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Triciaburmeister
I'm a technical writer on the Developer Advocacy Team. I'm especially interested in information architecture, content management, UX research, translation and taxonomy localization. I enjoy the challenge of learning about complex technical topics and then writing documentation that helps others to learn about them too. If you're interested in contributing to Wikimedia's technical ecosystem, or you want to learn more about information architecture, technical writing, etc. don't hesitate to contact me!
