Regular Q&A Sessions for On-Demand program after Wikimania 2023[edit source]

I really like that you wrote when not accepting an proposal for Wikimania 2023 that people can record a video and can publish it as On-demand program content. To give the people who prepared an proposal the chance that their content will be discussed and to get the point of view of people I am interested in Q&A-Sessions maybe also with breakout rooms to get further conversations about the topics after a general Q&A. Are you interested in such an Q&A-Session. I can look for a virtual meeting room for it and I can try to find people whose proposal was not accepted and who are willing to attend at such an Q&A session. If there is enough interest in it there is the chance to get regular further conversations about specific topics. This can improve networking and help staying connected outside of Wikimania. How many proposals have been accepted and how many declined. Can you plese tell me the number as I think this could be helpful to calculate the number of possible Q&A sessions. @Hogü-456 this is interesting, kind and generous offer. Hope key organizers respond to it. Zblace (talk) 09:06, 22 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Hogü-456 this is an interesting idea. At the moment the programming team is working through the many hundreds of submissions, as you can imagine there are few which dont meet community standards. With the other submissions some have already been asked to create on demand videos, some are being asked to merge their proposals, and yet others have been asked to create a Poster, if they want record a video that talks about their poster the COT will try to create QRcodes so that during Wikimania people will be able to have wider experience.
As @Zblace has said; this is a very kind and generous offer, it also offers some interesting possibilities with continuing discussions after Wikimania as well. Perhaps we can explore creating some "After Wikimania" meetings as well. I'll take the idea back to the COT & WMF Comms to see how we can support this. Gnangarra (talk) 10:59, 25 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Actually I disliked what the organisers did, as that suggested that the proposal was not worthy of having a full session (i.e, "your session is bad but it's cheap for us to have pre-recorded sessions, so take it or leave it"). Leaderboard (talk) 11:37, 25 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Leaderboard, its not possible to give every proposal the time they wanted. We have given the best possible options for those sessions to be heard, there were many sessions where the presenters proposed a prerecorded session as they couldnt attend in person. Talk about Non-English Based Programming[edit source]

Together with Dnshitobu I held a talk at the Chaos Communication Camp. At media.ccc.de you can find the recording. [1] Should I upload it to Wikimedia Commons or how can people find the talk. This talk was a proposal for Wikimania and after not accepted there the presentation happened at the Chaos Communication Camp with Dnshitobu attending remote and a Video with the presentation of Dnshitobu. I hope more people will upload a video of their presentation. The number of videos in the category at Wikimedia Commons was very low when I looked into it.
