For a list of volunteers (including translators) and other attendees, see Volunteering.

If you want to help with some part of Wikimania, either in preparation over the coming months or in person at the event, please add your name to a list available via Volunteering. If you live in the area, add your name under locals at the end. And if there's something specific you would like to help with, note that too. For instance...

Technical (conference-software writing, hardware/network specs if needed, wiki maintenance)
Social & community (outreach to many languages & projects; planning parties & community events; organizing contests and trips)
Translation: translation of the website, of announcements, &c. Note: Separate section below, by language.
Program (speakers, social events, hacking days, contests. Note: To help with paper reviewing, please add your name to the teams at Wikimania_2006/Program Team. Thanks!)

Translators[edit source]

One of the greatest strengths and challenges of Wikimedia is its multilingualism. Likewise for Wikimania. The event generates hundreds of pages of announcements, information, and materials, and attracts interest from media and community members speaking dozens of languages. If you are interested in looking after Wikimania materials in your language (not alone! with help :), please add yourself next to your language below.

Translation coordinators - we could use a number of coordinators; this is thirsty work.

Translators (by target language).

to get involved with translation, contact one of the active coordinators above, or see the current translation requests.
