2019:Meetups/Human rights meetup

This is a meetup for people from the movement who are interested in getting involved in advancing the topic of human rights across all wiki projects. The idea for the meetup was developed at the presentation about Strengthening Human Rights through Wikimedia. Notes from the meetup

Ideas for the meetup include:

• Initiating a Wiki Loves Human Rights competition for article creation and media content on human rights world wide
• Jeff Lee from OHCHR could take part in the meeting in order to share how the organization and Wikimedia could work together
• Would there be a possibility to have Wikipedians included in conventions that protect journalists, as their work can be just a dangerous as the work of journalists in particular in dictatorships?
• Anna Torres could share the list of learnings from their work on human rights in Argentina and collaboration with human rights organizations
• Expanding content from the human rights project that already exists and spreading it across other language versions
