In Wikipedia there is much less information about women than about men. There are also fewer women active as authors. To change this, Germany has had a monthly writing meeting called WomenEdit for more than six years, to which we regularly invite women from all age groups with and without editing experience. Five years ago, a similar project called Women for Wikipedia was launched in Switzerland. In both cases it is about networking women as well as giving each other individual mutual support. As a lighthouse project, WomenEdit was to find more international distribution. What are our experiences? With this poster, we would like to illustrate the opportunities such a Wikipedia space offers Wikipedia women and those who want to become female Wikipedians.
