Possible to split old town culture crawl?[edit source]

There currently is a tour offered to 30. A total of 50 people have said that they want to go.

Could this be split into 2 groups of 25? We have an itinerary and phones for mapping and communication - I suppose that attendees could self organize.

Do these tours require pre-registration at all these stops, or are these walks which anyone can do?

I am asking this partially on behalf of others who mentioned to me that they saw my name registered but that the group was full. Blue Rasberry (talk) 13:10, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi user:Bluerasberry, We are looking into adding another round, starting one hour later, to both tracks to live up to the high number of interested participants. Tell others to keep signing up to the lists as we'll use them to show the museums how popular they are. At all museums we will have free admission and a guide will give a tour, so doing the walk on your own would not work the same way. /Axel Pettersson (WMSE) (talk) 13:37, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Axel Pettersson (WMSE): k will encourage more signups! Blue Rasberry (talk) 13:59, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I asked @Bluerasberry: about this, as also he is one of the few people I know who registered; the main reason I arrive (and I arrive just by myself) is to meet more people and people I know for social mingling, as well as to keep feeling more good vibe and creates cooperation for keeping contributing to Wikipedia in the future. I'm also enthusiast for history and exploring cities, so it will be really a shame for me to miss this tour. I also write here now to say that I think there is a technical problem on the page - I can't see my registration, especially along with my similar comment about the situation on the tour's page. The page only shows up to 15 registrations on the waiting list (where there are 18, with me as number 17), as well as 2 on the waiting of the other tour, when there are 7. Only when I go to "edit source" I see it, and when I go back from the edit window to the page display. Thank you very much Bluerasberry, and @Axel Pettersson (WMSE): for working on this great tours and social opportunities, and for trying to add more capacity for them. אומנות (talk) 14:21, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Something missing at the potential 2nd round for the city's heart Old Town tour[edit source]

I looked at the added 2nd schedule and didn't add up to me that there is one place missing. That is since the 1st round starts 1 hour earlier, and reaches the last place at 15:00, while the 2nd round starting an hour later also reaches the last place at 16:00. For this I kept checking and noticed there is a "jump" at the 2nd round from 14:00 to 15:00. I want to ask or verify - is this suppose to be the time slot for "Kungsträdgården" missing by accident (as it appears at the 1st round)? Or still undecided or meant for a break? @Tore Danielsson (WMSE): I ping you as I see you dedicated to add this rounds and in case nobody else notice my question, if this may further increase the chance you will see and can tell me? And anyway great thanks for keeping planning and trying to add this 2nd groups! אומנות (talk) 17:03, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much אומנות for the ping! I have added "Kungsträdgården" to the second tour. There are some changes and we have not been able to verify with all the stops yet (Noble Prize museum and Medieval museum are positive but still preliminary so we are waiting for an answer or a guide there). But there will be a second tour on both tracks but one "new problem" also is a room for 60 persons at the end stop (Nationalmuseum and Skansen). But we are also working on this issue. Great with this interest in the tours! Thanks again! Tore Danielsson (WMSE) (talk) 09:21, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Further great thank you, and the rest of the organizers, from me, @Tore Danielsson (WMSE):. I hope all goes smooth and easy for you guys, and with all other hectic conference and lectures arrangements you also need to deal with this last days before the conference. I would also have also understood of course, and took into account, even if "Kungsträdgården" would deliberately be omitted (as an open garden which can be visited freely) per time-limits; just thought maybe it was missed from the schedule. :-) While I'm also a fan of exploring cities and see as much as possible, the main reason at least for me is to take advantage of this day to meet people, and then also know more people at the main conference, so the fact you managed to organize this 2nd tour in general already is fantastic for me and others who managed to register for these 2 groups! :-) Of course I hope also for you that it goes smooth with the other museums and their spaces, without too much complications. :-)
Just one more thing - after I wrote you here, I saw another user adding himself for the 1st "Old town" round as #31, and with stating coming with 3 more people. I figured he may put himself there for balance, as the 2nd round already had #31 as well. I heavily hesitated if to intervene. Also it doesn't effect me as I'm only #17 on the 2nd round. Still, eventually I moved his registration to the 2nd round since it was generally described as "preliminary", hence possible still as "waiting list", which therefore should serve the first who signed to the 2nd round about a month ago; also now you say the 2nd round may still be slightly different or somewhat more limited than the 1st round. I explained that politely in my edit summary, as I moved his registrations from the 1st to the 2nd round. I thought of asking you at first about this, but then figured I can do it by myself, then notify you here if you reply to my first comment, as then I know you watch this page. Hope this action of mine is understandable and okay with you and the other organizers. אומנות (talk) 10:17, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
