Abstract

The success of the Wikimedia projects depend, to an extent, on retaining editors within the Wikimedia community. Using the Wikimedia Fan Club Unilorin as a case study, we will share how we we were able to build a community of African students with a retention rate of over 50%.

At the end of the session, listeners will have learnt; challenges faced by student Wikimedia communities ways to retain more editors within a student Wikimedia Community
