Abstract

Tamil Wikipedia was started in 2003 and the community celebrated the 16th Year anniversary in Jaffna, Sri Lanka in 2019. This presentation is about the challenges of organizing an event for a medium-size Wiki community, and how to make it a success.

Session Outcomes

  • Able to understand the basic needs to organize a community event that includes international participants.
  • Realize the challenges and ways to overcome them.
