2021:Submissions/Thematic weeks as a tool for strengthening the community

Thematic weeks on Serbian Wikipedia started in 2019 and since then they have been organized by community members and Wikimedia Serbia almost 30 times. In this lecture, we will present the benefits of these kind of online events and the successful examples on how we (WMRS) can strengthen the collaboration between core Wikipedian community and Wikimedians. We'll see how it has been done in 2019, but also during the COVID19 pandemic. Besides that, we will reflect on some outcomes and statistics.
Session Outcomes[edit | edit source]
Participants will learn how they can apply this in their own community. Participants will see the benefits of these kind of actions and how they can be used for improving the collaboration between Wikipedians and Wikimedians. Participants will be able to learn from our mistakes and not make those in similar projects.
