Where to talk about Education? Education community participation spaces and more!

Abstract

Where are our EduWiki stories shared? How can someone share what they’ve learned about using Wikimedia projects in the education sector? Where can I ask for help in organising an activity in my region?

There are many amazing activities and programs happening in the EduWiki movement. At times, we don’t know where we can share our work, seek help, or learn from others. In this session, I will talk about different community participation spaces that the education team at the Wikimedia Foundation hosts, and how these spaces can be used to seek help, identify collaboration opportunities, and elevate their work.

We will update the audience with what we’ve learned from organising these participation spaces, and what changes we are planning.

Session Outcomes

Participants will be able to identify spaces where they can share their work, where to meet fellow colleagues and Wikimedians. Participants will understand the need of sharing their activities with the larger movement. Through this session, we will also share how participants can reach the education team for 1:1 consultations.
