Abstract[edit source]
Panel discussion with active and experienced users of the Wikimedia movement from the Arab world.
In this session, I aim to shed light on gender equality in the Arab Wikimedia communities.
Newcomers and the difficulties they face.
The extent to which societies support females and many other points related to this topic that I will address with panelists.
I will publish a survey related to this topic before the session and ask members of the Arab communities to participate in it, and I will share the results during the session.
The session will take place when the panelists accept the invitation.

- Attendees better understand the broader context of women's representation in the Wikimedia movement in the Arab world.
- Share with the attendees successful and encouraging examples of women's initiatives and leaders in the Arab Wikimedia communities.
- Underrepresented communities are encouraged to participate and contribute.
