Abstract[edit source]
For eight years, the Wikimedia Community in Tunisia has contributed to the development of multiple successful projects covering various fields from GLAM and Cultural Heritage to Wikimedia Research and Creative Photography. All these efforts are worth celebrating as they reached outstanding results despite being held in a global south country with scarce resources and evolving social and organizational challenges.
In this social breakout, we will highlight the main Projects of Wikimedia Tunisia as a confirmed user group through interactive and fun sessions involving lightning talks. We will also hold a handover between the leaving board and the new board of Wikimedia Tunisia to initiate and raise awareness about democratic practices inside Wikimedia affiliates.

Biography[edit source]
Wikimedia TN User Group is a local User Group of the Wikimedia Foundation. Its mission is to promote the Wikimedia Foundation and its projects in Tunisia.
One of its core missions is to aid and encourage people to collect, develop and disseminate knowledge and other educational, cultural and historic content in the public domain or under a license that allows everyone to freely use, distribute and modify said content without the payment of royalties.
