Qn. How does your session relate to the event themes: Diversity, Collaboration Future?
Conversation on the Three Chapters of Movement Charter : (1)The Preamble (2)The values and Principles (3) The Roles and Responsibilities From the review : (1) The Preamble: It showed that the Movement gave a strong massive support to technical tool advancement which would help to facilitate the diversification of Wikimedia and its projects. (2) Values and principles : - Empowerment should be added to equity which will foster uneven collaboration for a positive change of the future community. - Inclusivity should be integrated into action so as to generate uncommon knowledge diversification. -Team Work generates a right attitude to collaboration in every community, national, regional or international. It also helps a community to diversify its potentials to a wider community. - Transparency walks hand - in-glove with accountability which invigorates an integration for a smooth diversification and building a lasting future. The future of every community depends upon the transparency of the community members for a just sustainability of their common goals. (3) Roles and Responsibilities: -Transparency of providing adjustments and innovations as the organization grows . No community can work effectively and efficiently without adjustment and innovation of its policies. This could be done by rebuilding the old and outdated norms and innovate new ideas to secure a lasting future of the community and the organization at large. As such there’s need for a regular review of the Charter for a collaborative diversification.
