I am a wikimedian from Turkey. Pursued Political Science in Bogazici University and has been actively working in the Internet Services Sector for the last 16 years. I have started contributing to Wikipedia in 2005 and is one of the founding members of the Wikimedia Community User Group Turkey. Building relationships with university professors to assign wikipedia assignments to their students or contribute other Wikimedia projects might be difficult for Wikimedians. This presentation aims at suggesting several tactics to find prospect partners for such education partnership based on the experiences of the user group in Turkey.

In Wikimedia Community User Group Turkey we have accumulated great experience in building partnership with university professors and other education professionals for Wikipedia writing assignments their classrooms. We developed some tactics on how to reach potential partners. This presentation is for sharing our tactics. We would like to inspire fellow Wikimedians in building a successful Wikipedia Education Program by reaching out many Education partners.
