Hello, this is Komal Sambhudas. I’m 24 and I live in Pabal near by Pune, Maharashtra. I am perusing Bachelor of commmars .Then I join the Vigyan Ashram as a Student. I am editor of Marathi Wikipedia. My contribution in Marathi Wikipedia, Marathi Wikisource Wikimedia Commons and Wiki Books . We Introduced Wikipedia in 2017 by Subodh Kulkarni sir. In 2017-2018, we Trained girls students along with me. They had started creating content on Marathi Wikipedia. They have written more than 800 new articles on Marathi wiki. Topics includes information about plants and birds, wikipages for village etc. Senior Scientist Dr. Madhav Gadgil donated funds for giving monetary incentives to girls working on Marathi Wikipedia my own edits that time was more than 2400+.

I Will be talking about Wikipedia content Writing work in Marathi Editor. This Wiki Project done by rural girls from Pabal Village near Pune (India) .
Description
[edit source]A rural NGO Vigyan Ashram encourages its girls students to start contributing to marathi wikipedia. It was started as an activity in Computer Education.But soon CIS-A2K provided mentoring to these girls. Girls were trained in writing wiki pages in local languages. They were also trained to scan copyright free books,carry out OCR and make them available on wikimedia commons. Girls are also trained for contributing on Wiki Projects. In the last 3-4 years 100+ girls contributed, 600+ articles, 19370+ Global edits, 400+ scanned books and uploaded on Wikimedia Commans. We also 200+ scan copies of books on the Internet Arichive. This wikipedia activity with rural girls helped as empowerment of these girls.
