Basque Wikimedians User Group have been working in their education program for five years, and the first phase of this project is ending. We will discuss what we have learnt and which are our next steps after having more than 5.000 students writing Wikipedia.

After five years of BWUG Education program, the first phase is finishing. Five years ago, we proposed to rise the quality of the articles that secondary students needed, and we did it with University students and lecturers. Five years later, 12% of Basque Wikipedia has been written by students, we have created an Encyclopedia for children, more than 1% of Basque speakers have contributed to the Basque Wikipedia and we have a thriving ecosystem. In this session we will do balance and talk about our future goals.
