[edit source]Abstract
[edit source]ESEAP from the outside is an examination of the region and some small parts, trying to blend an autobiographical story about involvement with a volcano and a graveyard - and reflections on the role of the outsider in the understandings and misunderstandings of the volcanoes and graveyards of Java, Indonesia - and how it might relate to the wider ESEAP
