Students and young users are relying more on multimedia content to learn than in text. Large platforms are creating video content, but this is not freely available or outside major languages. Ikusgela is a project by Basque Wikimedians User Group to close this gap and provide a free video every week on varied content.

Students and young users are relying more on multimedia content to learn than in text, with platforms like YouTube or even TikTok centering the learning process. Large platforms are creating video content for profit, but this is not freely available or outside major languages. Ikusgela is a project by Basque Wikimedians User Group to close this gap and provide a free video every week on varied content. We publish videos on phillosophy, economy, ecology and provide fact-checking methodologies to videos.
