Abstract[edit source]

Talk and workshop around the new definition of Museums that stresses participation and focusses sustainability and wellbeing

Description[edit source]

In summer 2022 the International Council of Museums launched the new definition of museums with a human centered perspective. The event is planned as a satellite event taking place at the New Museum in Biel/Bienne which is the biggest bilingual French-German City in Switzerland. Besides German and French it is a multilingual center of migration. This year the Museum worked on the actually 52 spoken languages in the city. How is it possible to build healthy communities with all these different backgrounds? After an introductory talk the workshop will focus on how to integrate marginalized knowledge into the Wiki projects. What kind of space and which formats can be helpful?

Further details[edit source]
