Abstract & description[edit source]

Abstract[edit source]

For so long, Africa's story has been told in ways that are incorrect and in many ways demeaning. We use Storytelling to highlight the real and best aspects of Africa. We infuse a recollection of theatre, dance, generosity and song to showcase our African culture and celebrate our real African heroes.

Description[edit source]

Welcome to my session where I will be discussing the idea of providing traditional African stories in a natural forest setting. The aim of this attraction is to showcase the beauty and richness of African culture through storytelling.

One of the primary objectives of this concept is to provide a platform for the traditional African storyteller to showcase their skills and preserve this aspect of African heritage. The storyteller will take the audience on a journey through African folklore, myths, and legends, providing a glimpse into the cultural and historical significance of these stories.

This concept is particularly important because it aims to address the misconceptions that have been perpetuated about Africa. Through the stories, the audience will gain a better understanding of the people, places, and culture of Africa. They will be able to appreciate the diversity of African traditions and the contributions that these traditions have made to the world.

The natural forest setting provides the perfect ambiance for the storytelling experience. The audience will be immersed in the beauty of nature, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest, making it a truly memorable and unique experience.

In conclusion, this concept of providing traditional African stories in a natural forest setting is an important initiative that seeks to preserve African heritage while promoting cultural appreciation and understanding. The storytelling experience will be informative, entertaining, and transformative, leaving the audience with a deeper appreciation of African culture and a desire to learn more.
