Abstract

As the largest open source graphics community in Indonesia, Gimpscape ID supports communities with the same culture of openness and has great potential to enrich quality educational resources that can be used by everyone. The poster will contain activities, programs, and as well as potential collaborations that can be carried.

Description

Recently, Gimpscape ID and Creative Commons ID teamed up to hold a design contest to promote open learning resources. The software, fonts, illustrations and resources used in this contest use open resources, including Wikimedia Commons.

Given the importance of educational graphic resources which are still often needed by educators, especially for those who are developing open teaching materials, we see that this could be a potential collaboration in the future.

As the largest open source graphics community in Indonesia which has been involved in several international projects, Gimpscape ID supports communities with the same culture of openness and has great potential to enrich quality educational resources that can be used by everyone.

Apart from Creative Commons ID, Gimpscape ID also often collaborates with other communities as organizers, sponsors, and supports graphic and visual content.
