With a mixture of hope an fear, we are facing a new era in the way digital content is created and consumed, driven by the major advanced in machine learning and deep learning technologies. Through demonstration of relevant use cases and relevant discussions in the wikimedia scope, we hope to create a framework for wikimedians of potentials and risks forecasted in the upcoming future.

Products like ChatGPT, midjourney and other AI based technologies have initiated a real challenge to the way we learn, teach, produce, consume and use the knowledge.

These technologies are expected to trigger a large-scale system change worldwide, especially the education system is challenged, but also the creative works, digital content creation and innovation in general might face a risk.

As the movement with the the large expanding digital content world-wide, the Wikimedia foundation has the power to influence (in a good manner) the direction in which the fast development is going.

As a result of the discussions and brainstorming, a simplified, initial framework for the usage of the major AI products in the scope of the Wikimedia projects, is targeted.
