Abstract

The topic of artificial intelligence is considered one of the important and hot topics, which can be used within the environment of the Arabic Wikipedia, with the aim of developing the Arabic Wikipedia, reducing the percentage of unsourced materials, and reducing the possibility of making mistakes in rumors.

Description

Artificial intelligence is one of the modern phenomena, especially in the fields of scientific research and in the fields of checking false news, and in various fields of science. Thus, artificial intelligence has become an important part of scientific research, and the use of artificial intelligence has become publicly available, especially with the emergence of artificial intelligence conversations. And artificial intelligence has become interfering with most of human life.

In this talk I will give a short introduction to how AI can learn from data, and I will discuss the role that Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects play in the current AI environment. I will focus on the Arabic Wikipedia, and the aspirations of the Arabic Wikipedia community to experiment with artificial intelligence in improving articles and reducing the size of texts that need sources. I will talk about the challenges that the Arabic Wikipedia community may face while using artificial intelligence, especially since artificial intelligence often depends on the English language, and making artificial intelligence more aware of the value of the Arabic language is important, and it is one of the problems that may face contributors to the Arabic Wikipedia.

Artificial intelligence in its modern concept is one of the most important elements of the future and diversity, as I aim through this session to create cooperation between contributors to the Arabic Wikipedia, and this cooperation is linked to the future and diversity in the way of contributing and volunteering in Wikimedia projects.
