Euphemia Uwandu is a Meta Organizer, Certified Trainer of the Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom, and Member of the Regional Committees for WMF Fund for Middle East and Africa. She leads youth advocacy in the movement with diverse amazing Wikimedians who are carving a part for youth participation and engagement in the Wikimedia movement.

James Popoola

James Popoola (User: James Moore200) is the current president at the University of Ilorin, Wikimedia Fan Club, he is a community developer and communication specialist, he fell in love with Wiki in 2020, two years after he joined on his campus. James is currently a fellow with the LEAP Africa, under her Youth Leadership Program. He is a 2019 Millennium Campus Network Fellow, a program in partnership with the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) Program. James is passionate about Africa in general and also love to motivate people around him to achieve more with the available resources that is within their reach. James is passionate about youth advocacy, servant leadership and strongly believe in having a strong giver’s mentality. He loves seeing new places across the globe and meeting new people. He is well known as @TheJamesPopoola across all social media platforms.

Everyone has a part to play in achieving the global goals, whether they are individuals or organizations. The current decade should be used to its fullest potential as a decade of action, according to the aims and the actors. It is past time for the Wikipedia communities and the foundation to coordinate their operations, initiatives, and participation with the Global Goals.

This presentation will focus on education the audience the ways that can work in partnership and collaborative with fellow Wikipedians towards the actualisation of the Global Goals.

Attendees would learn how they can play a key role to activate the global goals as experienced Wikipedians.

This presentation would give a guide on how to start an SDGs focused campaign with specific action towards the 2023 GlobalGoalsWeek in September 19-26, 2023 - annual event in commemoration of the Goal 2030 which is otherwise known as the Sustainable Development Goals.

The proposal would help attendees navigate on how they can overcome challenges that comes up in the are of establishing partnership and collaboration with non-wiki communities or organisations. From the presenters experiences, we would share with the attendees.

Working on any of the 17 SDGs, Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations tells we are working tirelessly towards the future we want.
