Abstract & description[edit source]

Abstract[edit source]

The WP1 toolset has been launched almost 20 years ago on Wikipedia in English. It's virtually known by any Wikipedian... but do you know it that well? Let's dive in the latest features and open a few perspectives for the future.

Description[edit source]

The WP1 toolset helps to build selections of articles of Wikipedia. The most visible part for Wikipedians is the WP1bot which assist Wikiprojects in their article assessment work. But actually this is far more than this.

Since many years the Kiwix/openZIM team has been working to keep running and develop the solution. Early this year, we have released the latest features which allow anybody to make easily their selections of articles and even create on offline version of them in the ZIM portable format.

At the crossroad of community tooling and the offline outreach programs, the WP1 toolset is a key tool for many different usages of our Wikipedia dataset.

This presentation is conceived as complementary of the proposal "Wikipedia 1.0 Bot Tech Stack", but the user perspective.
