Abstract & description
[edit source]Abstract
[edit source]This session aims at describing what has been done in the past two years with a disability community and how to get others involved in the process of making digital skills accessible to people with disabilities.
Description
[edit source]While social inclusion programs have long focused on digital technology, we have remained silent /failed in educating and empowering people with disabilities to act as technology makers and shapers, not merely passive users. We have organised, and trained some persons with hearing impairments for the past two years and would love to share challenges and wins and would want to collaborate with other Wikimedians and share ideas through round table discussions and be the voice for people with disabilities.
Further details
[edit source]Qn. How does your session relate to the event themes: Diversity, Collaboration Future?
