Abstract & description
[edit source]Abstract
[edit source]Grouping multiple photos of the same object to give a single seamless photo magnification platform using add-ons/extensions.
Description
[edit source]The idea came while documenting the terracotta temples of West Bengal. The temples have panels which tell stories. But when photographed individually it is hard to go through them one by one, in the correct order, and decipher the story. If the panels are photographed together, sometimes it is hard to see the details.
The idea here is to combine the establishing shots of the panels together and the detailed single shots, using an add-on/extension, so that we can seamlessly view the details and the sequence. This will help academic professionals to view them easily and write the description.
Further details
[edit source]Qn. How does your session relate to the event themes: Diversity, Collaboration Future?
Future – The session is about an innovative approach to storing photographs in Commons, through extensions/add-ons, so that we can combine different images of the same object and make a usable platform to view them at different magnification levels easily.
Collaboration – This will hugely enhance the possibilities of collaboration between the photographer and academicians resulting in the creation of texts to document it better.
