Abstract & description[edit source]

Abstract[edit source]

This workshop will cover the history and progress of the UCoC and Enforcement Guidelines as well as gather insights from communities on how it will impact/benefit community health

Description[edit source]

To realize our vision of a world in which everyone can share in the sum of all human knowledge, the UCoC and Enforcement Guidelines(EGs) were developed in collaboration with the community. They aim to provide a baseline of behavior for collaboration to create positive, safe and healthy spaces for communities. The UCoC is a key policy initiative from the Wikimedia 2030 community conversations and strategy process. The Enforcement guidelines were developed to create enforcement pathways for the UCoC and have been through multiple processes of drafting, community consultations and ratification. Following the recent ratification of the Enforcement Guidelines, this workshop seeks to discuss the processes that led us here as well as gather insights and input from communities on how they envision the UCoC/EGs will benefit their communities and what they hope to see/get out of the UCoC/EGs going forward.
