Hello!

Wikimania is only two weeks away and we can’t wait to welcome you. We have put together an attendee guide to answer your questions about the venue, getting around Singapore, the virtual event platform and more. Please have a read through, and for those coming to Singapore, pay special attention to the travel documents you need! There is a plain text translatable version of the guide here.

We also invite you to check out the program and get ready for exciting entertainment lineup, including the annual Wikimedian of the Year Awards.

For those of you who will be attending Wikimania virtually, please join us for an orientation to our event platform, eventyay. You’ll learn how to build your schedule, navigate between rooms, chat to participants, create your profile and more. Dates, times and links are available on the Wikimania Wiki homepage. We will be posting a recording after for those who can’t make a live session. To request interpretation, email wikimaniawikimedia.org with the subject line “Interpretation for virtual orientation.”

For those attending Wikimania in person, we want to invite you to Wikimania side events happening around Singapore. Starting on 15 August and running through 20 August, we will have special events brought to you by community groups and partner organizations. From photo walks, to city tours, to edit-a-thons and library expeditions, we will have a little something for everyone. Spaces are limited, so take a look at the offerings and reserve yours!
