2024:Tours and Side Events/CEE Youth Program
The CEE Youth will host various games and fun activities in 8 August, 18:00 to 19:30 in Wikimania.
It takes place at Hall C (Gdańsk) in the venue.
Come and have fun with many Wikimedian friends! The activities will offer a lot of entertainment for all Wikimedians.
The CEE Youth program is organised by the CEE Youth and not by the COT, though the COT supports the CEE Youth with any necessary help.
History
[edit | edit source]Preparations began in March as the conference organisers and the CEE Hub partnered in order to give 2 slots for two days in CEE Youth Group to organise various games and events for fun and enjoyment of the participants in Wikimania this year.
Many members joined the working group at CEE Youth including people not coming in Wikimania.
In July 2024 it was decided that we will have one slot due to the fact that Friday will have similar events hosted directly by the COT. Consequently, some of the proposed events had to be scrapped.
What to expect?
[edit | edit source]- Youth interviews (will be shared on CEE Youth Instagram). We'll interview members of the CEE Youth Group on their career in the movement, their opinions on the state of Wikimedia and more.
- Historical and cultural interesting facts about Wikimania nations and CEE / Cultural similarities game
- Language game (saying something in native language and others try to guess)
- Playing games (board games like Uno, twister, Dixit)
- Localizing Wikeys
