I am the head of the Education Policy and Digital Cultural Commons team of Wikimedia Deutschland e.V..
The 'Digital Education, Democracy and Culture' team is committed to ensuring that the digital transformation of society improves access to knowledge, education and participation in social processes for everyone. We advise and support policymakers, administrators, cultural institutions and educational organisations in making teaching and learning open, and in making their content, collections and data freely accessible. We also help them to create the necessary institutional framework conditions. In addition, we advocate for the fostering of democratic engagement within the digital domain, consistently guided by the principle of openess and transparency as the basis for a sustainable society.
