About me
I was born in Bogotá, Colombia and have been living in San Francisco since 2013 (feel free to ask about my country any time!). I've been working on strategic partnerships and business development at WMF since 2015, but back in the day I was part of the legal world, graduating from Universidad de los Andes and working for places like Baker & McKenzie and Creative Commons. I am passionate about access to free knowledge and information and Internet policy. In my free time you would find me traveling and getting to know new places, meeting new people, or trying out new food and cocktails.
My work
I currently manage the Regional Partnerships team, part of the larger Partnerships team at the Wikimedia Foundation. I manage a business development team in emerging markets focused on leveraging public and private sector partnerships to advance Wikipedia readership, brand awareness, and local content creation. We specialize in working with partners interested in the intersection of technology and education, ranging in scope from international organizations to technology companies as well as non-profits across the globe. I am also involved in some public policy affairs that impact our partnership work, particularly access to knowledge.
