[edit | edit source]This discussion round table offered attendees the opportunity to discuss and share knowledge on the practical aspects of legislative advocacy. How does one start the process of advocacy, how to strategize and create a plan, how to find allies and effectively work with them, how to engage the public and law makers, how might be against your advocacy and why? Are all questions this event seeks to provide answers based on the experience of others.

[edit | edit source]This session will address the conference theme — Wikimedia, Free Knowledge and the Sustainable Development Goals — in the following manner: There is an indirect relationship to the theme by helping to give people the tools to make effective advocacy related change.
