Description
[edit | edit source]Today Wikipedia is the best encyclopedia ever created by man-kind. Yet, when compared to the knowledge of an expert on a specific subject, wikipedia can be seen as a good starting point that can be improved. The Wiki-Endorsing Thesis project aims at substantially improving the quality of wikipedia pages by means of student scholarship.
Relationship to the theme
[edit | edit source]This session will address the conference theme — Wikimedia, Free Knowledge and the Sustainable Development Goals — in the following manner: Platform regulation and Wikimedia's role in it relates to all UN SDGs that require information and knowledge to be openly accessible (1, 3, 4, 9, 10, 16 and 17).
