For many newcomers, editing a wiki online is their first experience with the Wikimedia movement. But we know from years of research that a newcomer's first attempts at participating online can be confusing and challenging, especially to those working on a mobile device. In this session, we'll hear from several groups working to improve the Mediawiki software to make it easier for more people with different skillsets to participate. This session will include content and presenters from these four submissions, along with discussion and Q&A:

• Visual editing on mobile: An accessible editor for all
• Advanced mobile contributions
• Scribe: Supporting (Under-resourced) Wikipedia Editors in Creating New Articles
• Testing tools for Growth: Two case studies with five Wikipedia communities
