Title
[edit | edit source]Have you heard? - WikiGap, the next big thing?.
Description
[edit | edit source]The WikiGap campaign was originated in March 2017, a sister edit-a-thon in four languages between the Swedish embassy in New Delhi, and Stockholm was organized for International Women's day. Then there was no looking back, the campaign brought partnership between different Wikimedia affiliates around the world as The Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs inviting broad and diverse participation allowing local adaptations to the overall theme of closing the gender gap and other gaps relevant for diversity on Wikipedia. This year too events took place around International Women's Day in March 2019 and still continuing in several cities around the world run by the Swedish Embassy and local Wikimedia affiliates, reaching out to more than 15 countries, 669 editors, with 2.48k articles created and 25.9 million articles views and counting. I being one of the fortunate organizer like to invite everyone of you, whether you are part of WikiGap or even you are not, do come and listen or join the discussion, to know how everything happened? What could have happened and didn’t happen? Whether it is on the way to be the next big thing?
