Description
[edit | edit source]In 2019 we celebrate 5 years of c:Commons:Wiki Loves Africa. Wiki Loves Africa is an annual visual celebration of the Africa continent that, based on a new theme each year, calls for photographic or media contributions to Wikimedia Commons. 2019 is the fifth year that the competition has been held.
Themes over these years have encompassed Cuisine, Cultural Fashion and Adornment, Music and Dance, People at Work, and Play!

Relationship to the theme
[edit | edit source]This session will address the conference theme — Wikimedia, Free Know ledge and the Sustainable Development Goals — in the following manner:
Sustainable goals cover Quality Education and Reduced inequalities through exposure of Africa's myriad cultures on a global resource.
Session type

Requirements

- Room:
- A prominent wall is needed for 25 images to be placed up for the duration of the exhibition

- The whole conference
- Recording:
- no recording needed.
Additional material
[edit | edit source]Please Note: It would be good if Wikimania can print the images in Stockholm, Sweden so that they will not be damaged or potentially lost in the transit.
