The poster will give an overview of previous and ongoing work on the Wikidata WikiProject Video games, as well as an insight into video game data.
The wikiproject has been very active in the past year, focusing in particular on alignment activities (vocabularies, external identifiers) and tools for data-overview and data-quality − an experience that can be relevant to other Wikidata WikiProjects.
The poster will also explore the relevance of Wikidata for data-driven research projects, as research on games as cultural objects has picked up in recent years.
